Marcus Whitman Unified Robotics Team Recognition

At SKSD we thrive on the idea of Getting Better Every Day, where we invest in the success of others and celebrate growth and achievements. With that, we are so excited to share some amazing news about Marcus Whitman’s Unified Robotics 2nd-Year team. On November 16th, the team traveled to Liberty High School in Renton to compete in the Unified Robotics Championship where they competed alongside 20 schools. Not only did Marcus Whitman students finish as finalists, but also the team took home the Unified Robotics Inclusion Award, recognizing the team’s efforts in cultivating an inclusive environment through their project.

The Unified Robotics program is unique in its ability to promote a strong sense of community, teamwork, collaboration, and inclusion by having students work together as a team to achieve a common goal. In the competition, the Marcus Whitman team showcased their remarkable skills in problem solving, engineering, coding, and communication. Their hard work and dedication shined through, perfectly exemplifying the SKWay!

We encourage all students to consider joining the Unified Robotics Club, it is more than just coding and building robots, it’s about forming meaningful connections, participating in sports and activities, and developing leadership skills.
Save the Date: Join us for the “Unified Family Night” at Marcus Whitman on December 9th at 4:25PM for games, fun, and food. Come check us out and see all the exciting accomplishments we’ve made so far!
